A taste of home!

Yeap! What is it??

Easyway's PMT! Pearl Milk Tea..

Yippie!

Glasgow's Easyway Menu
[Notice the PMT is double the cost of Brunei's!]

Well, before that, lunch in a Chinese restaurant called SeeWoo Restaurant before seriously exploring See Woo. See Woo is describes themselves as the largest superstore in Glasgow. What's even better? It sells oriental products/food. GOOoodd.. Well, we actually wanted to go there last week, however, we were sort of lost halfway and decided to turn back. Not today thou'. Walking time is around 20 -25 mins from Buchanan SPT Station. The place is as big as Brunei's Jaya Hypermart. Lots of oriental products (But no ba gua that I was hoping to buy =( ). However, I find that the prices there a wee bit higher compared to Chung Ying's [Another store selling oriental products, which is only maybe 10 mins walk from Buchanan]. In terms of stores selling oriental stuff, Glasgow doesn't fare that bad actually. As far as I know there are 4 of these kinds here. Only problem is, they are located quite a distance away.

This was what I had.
To be exact:

-Vegetarian soup for starter
- Roast Duck, BBQ Pork and Crispy Belly Pork

A glimpse of the inside

So-called 'House Special Cheong Fun

The main dish

Co-incidently my date had the same dish as me as well.
Wow, what chemistry huh? Rare find ^^

My verdict of the place:
- Large large Chinese restaurant. Maybe the largest in Glasgow. There's even a stage and VIP rooms
- Not-very-friendly waitresses. Damn they should learn how to smile =)
-Slow service.
- My so-called 'House Special' cheong fun, came after the main dish arrived, which was around 20 mins after we ordered. And what's inside the 'House Special' cheong fun? Abalone? Man man deng. NOTHING!! It was just plain cheong fun. Ni nao hia. Took so long, n no meat. I think they regard the 2 sauces(Plum n peanut sauce!) that accompanied the dish to be the uniqueness of that dish. MY GAWD!
- The vegetable soup should be renamed Ajinomoto soup.
- The main dish, was eww.. Super oily. I was literally forcing em in. I was given lots of duck skin, lil meat. The char siew was hard, not very nice. The crispy pork belly, haha. I thought it was smth special. Yenlai, its what we call Sau Rou back home. Smth that I do not enjoy eating, whether here or back home.
- Dessert? After finishing the main meal, we decided to ask for the dessert. You know what the waitress answered? Dessert available only for night dining. WAT! The brochure clearly says 'LUNCH'. Walao.. Anyways we were too full to continue eating anything at that instance, thus, not much of a big deal.
- Oh, the fried rice did not taste like fried rice at all. My lousy cooking skills can produce something miles better. It was just like eating brown coloured boiled rice. LOL
- The chinese tea sucked too. For me it tasted like tea dipped with a mothball! HAHHAHA

Oh, I went to the so-called CNY celebrations in Kelvingrove museum, which I mentioned in a previous post. LOL. Seriously disappointed la. There were no lion dances or whatever. Just 2 stalls! Face painting + calligraphy stall. Another stall just consisted of a table with lion-dance equipment. Heh.. Oh well..

And for bball fans.. Watch this..

F*king insane! video

There are seriously a few out-of-this-world dunks already this season. This one's one of the best so far. How often do you see Jermaine O'Neal floored like that? OMG.. Tyrus's definitely a BEAST.

Survived!

Yes I SURVIVED!

Survived the 5-game marathon that is..

Haha.. I ain't gonna make a big fuss of it thou' as there were people who were much off worser than me. They played for the whole damn day! - Futsal in the morning until basketball at night! Phew... Superhumans!

The main concern for the night was surprisingly not whether I had enough to go on or not stamina-wise (It was of course tiring), but it was actually the blisters I had on my big toes(esp. the left), that were main cause of agony. Halfway thru', I even decided to wear 2 socks in the hope that it would create more cushion and thus less pain for my toe!

Anyways the 5-game journey of my team were:

Win! Win! Win! Win! but then .. we LOST in d last game. =( Making it 4 wins and 1 loss.

Drained~~

From my own view, to be honest, I guess the whole team played really well that night. It was only at the last hurdle that we stumbled. Our shots don't seem to fall in anymore n everything went against our way.. We crumpled to defeat eventually.

Ok, nvm that.. a few of the interesting moments on that day :

Gasp!~ Mc Grady!

"Wah.. Ref trying to do the 'Statue of Liberty' pose ah? "

Ah Ping wana hold hands with the guy in white!

"Drink 100 Plus!" ad
Plus featuring the return of the Hau and the King aka Seng

Result of "Just do it" + "Drink 100 Plus!" haha

Lastly :

Us all.. Dunno where's Wei thou'

"Run Bern Run!"

"Run Bern Run!"

Come this Saturday (2nd of August), these shouts are bound to be heard over and over again.

Its coz, I'll be joining the LufBru Games, basketball is the sport. But that's not the big issue. The biggest issue of that day would be that we would have to play 5 games!!

5 Games in a day! WOW!

No wait, not in a day.. Its in a night!!! 5 Games in a night!

Look at the schedule.

My team would be under 'MC' (Shaded red)

30 mins per game.

5 games per day.

30 x 5 = 150

Which makes it 150 mins(purely playing time) of running, jumping, screaming, body banging, shouting, arms flailing, wild perspiring n armpit smelling.

!!!!

Uggh? Not to degrade the game of basketball. But that is more or less bound to happen considering the brilliant designs of basketball uniforms. Ohh.. Im talking about the final verb in the previous paragraph, if you've lost track. Hahaha..

I don't know if I have enough to last that long. LOL.

What's worst?

" Only 3 subs!! "

What's more worst?

" Im playing up front, which means I'd be most likely more prone to sprints
to the hoop while having your opponents chase you from behind.
(It's called the 'fast break') "

What's even worst?

" There's a coach! Which means no time to slack, no excuses, no occurences of stupid mistakes. Eek"

Eh, u r getting more n more cialat eh. Keep on complaining. Anymore mah?

" 2 mins break per game?
Walking to n fro to the bench alone already takes up that 2 mins lor.
More break time please! "

" No aircon! Means freaking hot n humid inside. How to breathe? "

" No first aid team. Pengsan how? "

" No place to buy 100 plus inside. "

Human nature isn't it? Or just Bernard nature? Hahaha.. Our brains have no problems at all when it comes to churning complains. It ain't the case when we have to write up our 50 page reports thou'. LOL

Okok, stop the complaining. Now the GOOD:

" There is a cash prize! "

" Certs! " Yawn.. hahaha

"There might be a cutie watching!" LOL

Anyways the main point is the excitement and fun of joining a competition and the love of basketball itself.

Competitions challenge a person to do their very best. This is where all the training and hard work done all these while should pay off and is also where you can benchmark yourself among the others and see how much of an improvement or de-improvement(is there such a word? LOL) you have achieved.

May God bless me and all my fellow teammates for this tourney.

Damn.. I can't wait already!~

The results on the recent poll:

1 said they liked this template

3 could not make a choice

2 did not like this template.

Hahaha.. In conclusion, since there are no strong indication of whether to throw/stay with this template, I'll just leave this template as it is for the time being. I'll change it when I get bored with it.

Long live the plain template!~!~
