to the land of the Scot'Ish.. (part II)

3rd leg:

I know Ive said of posting the '3rd leg' post plus more more before.. haha.. But seriously I was having a busy week ( of course , you've gotta plus the googling, and youtubing and slight gaming I managed to cram in.. lol )

Anyways, a little continuation from the previous post.

Nothing exactly interesting happened here. We boarded a 'bmi' flight from Heathrow to Glasgow. I guess its a less 'prestigious ( i can't think out the proper word for this)' flight. It was a very small plane indeed. The seating arrangements were 3 -3, 2 that's all. Anyways whats the fuss about when the duration of the flight is only about 1 hr ++. I was surprised it was a pretty quick flight. It only felt like 30 mins for me! It was like ascend ascend ascend ... then 10 mins later, you can feel ur ears popping already, which means plane descending! Ohh, I realised the generosity of RBA on this flight thou' coz they charge you for refreshments! I managed to order a glass of water, luckily it was free.. ;)

When Scotland was slowly getting visible from plane, I remember seeing lots of greenery, not-very-modern building structures from above and of course the infamous gloomy cloudy skies. It was drizzling at the time of landing.

Just a random cartoon picture source

We landed in Glasgow's International Airport. For general knowledge purposes, there are 2 airports in Glasgow, the other one is called Pretswick if I ain't wrong.

A couple of wrong assumptions that you should not get wrong when going to Glasgow :-

1. Glasgow is the capital city of Scotland
2. You could stand the weather in Glasgow even thou' your rumah aircon is used to being set to 'Coldest' option
3. Luggage don't get lost especially large sized ones..

Anyways managed to take a few quick pics whilst walking towards the collection belt to collect our luggages.

Misfortune affected the Bruneian group heading to Glasgow as 'assumption 3' went wrong. 2 , not 1 of us failed to collect their luggages from the collection belt. It aint their fault(the lost luggage was the largest in size among his lot of luggages hahaha) as it was later found out that their luggages were mishandled and sent else where I suppose. Besides that, another one of the Bruneians, found out that one of her luggage wasn't handled that well. There was a hole on her bag!

Anyways. we couldn't do much at that point. They did their complaint/report to the respective authorities at that time and then have to move on, as we have to collect our house keys from our prospective landlord.

I remember on descending at London, the pilot announced that temperature at London was around 15 degrees? ( I don't really remember, but it was definitely below 20 degrees). Of course, to be safe, I wore on my thick jacket before going down from the plane. However to my dismay, it wasn't cold at all. As you can see from the previous post, I wasn't wearing a jacket eh. If Im not wrong, there was a similar announcement of such in the Scotland flight too. Hahah.. safety measures.. jacket on. But my mind was nah.. aint gonna be that cold, from what I experienced in London.

LOL.. Sekali while we were stepping out from the airport (indoors -> outdoors), I realised I can feel the ceiling aircon (those type placed above the entrances) blowing at me.. Hm.. cold..

As I walked a lil more further out, I was wandering, what the hell? Why is the ceiling aircon so damn strong.. Outside also can feel?? The more further you walk out, the more colder it was getting, then I realised '!!!!!' It aint the aircon! It was the weather that everyone was talking about! You know how it feels when you open your fridge door? The air was something like that .. hahaha..

Anyways, we hoped on to a taxi (the above pic) and headed off to our landlord...

To be continued.. as I want to chill a lil' and watch a movie before more work..

Before that, see the pic below. I was awed to see how passionate the city was with football. It was Scotland's WC Qualifying match yesterday against Norway. I tink every 1 in 20 people were donning the Scotland jersey with kilts!! Some with large Scotland flags too! Old young alike.. Wonderful! There were Norway's fans too around the city with the 'horn' thing on top of their heads. See below. Besides that, there were in groups singing and chanting whilst walking around hahaha. Definitely, a never-seen-before sight for me! Sadly, Scotland did not win the match. As read from the reports, it was only a 0 - 0 result.
